Electric guitar problem?

I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special 2 and a Fender Mini Tone Master amp both new online. I hooked them up and I cant get a sound out of the amp. It buzzes and everything but no sound from the guitar. I bought another guitar cable because I thought that was the problem but still no sound. Im thinking its the amplifier but Im still not sure. I have checked all the volume knobs on both the guitar and the amp and that still didnt help. My question is before I send the guitar and amp back for a refund is, is there a switch or somethingon the guitar that is making the guitar give no sound? or is there an easy fix? thanks

there’s probably nothing you can easily do, it’s likely the wiring of the pickups and pots is faulty – the guitar is very likely the problem if the amp turns on and makes noise.

Actually, the audience seems more enthusiastic than the band, hooping and hollering and even singing along on “Swan Dive.” In its post major-label career, Sister Hazel has cultivated its fans with special events and the usual series of releases aimed at their core audience (live albums, rarities albums, holiday albums), of which this is another. Selecting songs from each of the band’s six studio albums (with half the tunes coming from the major-label sets Somewhere More Familiar and Fortress), the disc provides a good summary of their catalog in an intimate setting. The speed knob on the outside gives the tremolo pedal a nice range of speed from very slow to super-fast, much faster than what many modern tremolo pedals offer. The internal volume control has boosting capabilities, which modulates the volume of your signal with regard to amplification. Setting the dial far left gives you the most common wave you hear in many old blackface or brownface amplifiers. Typically called a sine wave, the top of the waveform is smooth and subtle. You can increase or decrease the depth in any setting with the internal depth and volume controls. The tremolo pedal’s middle setting is not quite a full square wave chop but a saw tooth waveform almost a mixture of the sine and square wave. The far right setting provides the full-on square wave or what Lovepedal refers to as Chop City. With absolutely no bleed, this waveform is excellent with fuzz, overdrive, and/or distortion for a full-on choppy, effected sound.
